For 100 years, Internorga has been the international trade fair for the hotel, gastronomy, bakery and confectionery industries. After a break of two years due to corona, it returned this year as an on-site event without any restrictions from April 30 to May 4, 2022. It took place with a new hall structure on the grounds of Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH.
Around 900 national and international exhibitors presented the latest products, trends and innovations for the out-of-home market to the trade fair visitors. The Internorga program was rounded off by international congresses, fringe events and industry competitions.
New hall structure of Internorga 2022
This year, visitors and exhibitors were able to experience the new hall structure at Internorga 2022 for the first time. All halls of the trade show were strategically redesigned, and impressed with enlarged, clearly arranged presentation capacities with space for networking as well as a more stringent visitor guidance.
The highlights of Internorga 2022
From new exhibition areas such as "Packing & Delivery", which addressed the pandemic-driven delivery and takeaway business, to digital trends for the catering and hotel industry, to "Outdoor and Beachworld" for outdoor gastronomy, Internorga offered its nearly 100,000 visitors a unique trade fair experience with a huge amount of highlights and a high entertainment factor. A food truck village provided culinary variety throughout the trade show with street food and forward-looking concepts.
In particular, the trade show focused on the trendy topics of delivery services and sustainable packaging solutions, the kitchen technology of the future, the innovation of coffee culture and, above all, digitization. Beyond that, master confectioners and up-and-coming talents demonstrated the creativity and sophistication of their craft in live presentations and in the "Bakery and Confectionery" exhibition area, as well as product innovations from the fields of bread and baked goods, ice cream and cake production, and store fitting. Further innovative booths and well-known industry meeting places such as Café Future Live, the Pink Cube or the DEHOGA Club allowed for creative tastings and entertaining talk sessions on the future of the food service world.
Internorga 2022: Trends from the tableware industry
The important topic of digitization has also arrived at porcelain manufacturers for quite some time now. BHS tabletop AG presented their Décor configurator, which allows customizing numerous tableware products. After selecting the configurable products, a personal décor can be designed or a logo can be added to subsequently customize the tableware. This gives it a high recognition value and unique charm – perfect for hoteliers, restaurateurs or event organizers who want to offer their guests not only a culinary but also a visual experience.
In its anniversary year, Zwiesel Kristallglas also took a further step into the future and presented its new umbrella brand United Tables at Internorga 2022. It aims to create attractive assortment worlds and a range of conceptual solutions from a single source. United Tables focuses on out-of-home catering and supports the enjoyable get-together at the table in the gastronomy with many ideas.
